If I do an 8,000 mile interval in an 05 camry with regular Mobil 1 5w30, am I better off puting on 1 pureone filter and leaviing it for 8,000 or putting on an AATG filter and then changing the filter again at 4,000. Thanx

any real difference between pureones and regular purolators? They look the same quality.

Yes! there is a difference between the two filters and personaly I think that you can leave on either for the whole 8,000 mile OCI. Because, this is the way an engineer from Purlator's 1-800# explained it to me. First of all, the Premium Plus and the PureOne both filter between 10-20 micron particles. But the PureOne filters a higher % of those microns due to it having more pleats and is more tightly packed. Also, the PureOne has a silicone anti-drain back valve (ADBV) and a red tefelon treated gasket so that the filter can be removed more easily... Im assuming that the AATG means Advance Auto Tough Guard in the orange can? If this is what you are talking about, then I have read mixed reviews on it's filtration media as compared the the Premium Plus. Not saying it's a poor filter, it's not! Just saying that it may or may not have a little less filtration media than the Prem Plus. Otherwise it's identical and a great price especially when it's on sale.

Since my money had to go a certain distance I bought 2 regular L10111's to have for the next oil changes on both cars. Next up buying the oil closer to the OCI.
