I haven’t seen it posted here, but it seems Ford has extended the warranty on their backup cameras to 15 years unlimited miles on most if not all of their product line. It’s a not uncommon issue, so hopefully this helps someone.
Going on what AI replied it seems like some are recalled, but the rest including F150 are voluntary. My 2016 F150 had a blue screen, but I fixed it by stealing ground from the LED in the tailgate handle. It seems like Ford has two common rear camera issues: bad grounds and water intrusion into the camera. I think I’m going to have mine repaired properly. Was the extension voluntary or recall related?
The ford Memo is posted above in a link. It lists years and modelsThis isn't a blanket thing for all vehicles, that is why asking AI questions like this is so dangerous. My mom's 2014 Fusion is having the camera act up sometimes and there is no coverage on it per OASIS.
This is still in advance notice, so nothing will be done until a full notice is posted which they expect around October. The ford Memo is posted above in a link. It lists years and models

This might be a mini-rant from a parts person, ok it is a rant. The advance notice thing is just a pain. No-one reads a recall notice past the top line. Countless calls of people wanting to come in, getting transferred to us in parts to make sure the parts are in stock. "No, this is an advance notice so there are no parts or repair procedures published." Cue the "well what am I supposed to do, will you give me a loaner, I don't feel safe" comments. Like I get the manufacturers have to do this, but goodness it sure creates heartache.Bureaucracy at its best: the Get Ready: We're Getting Ready Notice.

Bummer, our 2014 C-Max with a flaky camera isn't included either. This isn't a blanket thing for all vehicles, that is why asking AI questions like this is so dangerous. My mom's 2014 Fusion is having the camera act up sometimes and there is no coverage on it per OASIS.
