I heard back from the dealer. Shop did NOT change the rear diff, just the Haldex. They did it to save me some funds as VW does not call for it to be serviced. They recommended I could do it at 10 years. So it was a misunderstanding when explained to me yesterday by the service manager looking at the billing document. Thank you very much for calling this to my attention!!!
Allright. That said, I agree with Tigeo and EdyVW.
VW calls for G 060 175 for your Haldex clutch, which is a dedicated fluid.
Not sure if you could use its predesesssor G 055 175. Both appear to be
very similar, as some aftermarket fluid cover both VW part numbers.
VW apparently call für G 052 145 for your rear diff. I feel keen enough to
contend, anything GL-5 75W-80/85/90 will perform adequately.
If your DSG (DQ250/02E?) transmission has a separate oil fills for its front
differential and the bevel box I'd suppose some GL-5 75W-80 etc should
be ideal.
