Hi, lovely day to y´all
long time lurker, first time poster.
i have a car with psa puretech eb2 engine, n/a triple. more tech here - http://www.citroenet.org.uk/miscellaneous/puretech/puretech.html
while i am using motul xcess5w40, i have feeling this has not much pao or ester inside. kinda sad.
(at least what i could see in msds..) https://www.motul.com/sk/en/products/8100-x-cess-5w40
i´d like to give max protection possible, but staying safe.
you know; wet timing belt & lpg .. (imho, fullsaps &hi hths is the way to go; i am not positive about any acea c* in gasoline)
in mid-east europe, fuel is not top quality, it is normal practice to addive by yourself.
that´s why i have been thinking about using this ester as "oil additive".
oil sump is about ~3,5L (3,7qt), and put there a ~0,1L of ester could make peace of mind..?
https://www.motul.com/sk/en/products/sport-5w50 Can be mixed with synthetic or mineral lubricants.
manufacturer oci is 25000km
which is stupid imho. i´d like to keep below 15000km.
is xcess5w40 good enough? what about adding in that ester ?
i love to hear your opinions.
i need to keep the car for many years, crippling the maintenance is not a option.
