hello
manual states to use Dexron II E (never heard of it)
OR
MIII (never heard of it either)

what is equivalent to these fluids, its for power steering on a asian car.

i have heard of "Dexron II", and "Dexron III", but never heard of "Dexron IIE" or "Dexron MIII"
are they the same thing?

and, does anyone make OTC synthetic versions of this fluid?

I guess I don't know what MIII is. Perhaps it would help if you posted what kind of car,

Dexron IIE is just a earlier configuration for Dexron. You can use the latest variant without worries, because it's backward compatible. I recommend synthetic ATF.

I have a couple of old bottles of Mercon/Dexron IIE in my garage. It was an updated specification of Mercon II. There was also an M/D IID, that was soon replaced with the M/D IIE. (I think the MIII referred to Mercon III. The Mercon/Dexron specs were used interchangably.)

As the other posters said, I would use an M/D III or synthetic in it.
