I've never bought it - never used it... my cars passed inspection (when we had an inspection). I'm not recommending or defending it...

But, if you search the net for "Guaranteed To Pass" you will get a lot of hits. This product is sold on Amazon.com and the feedback results are roughly 4-1 positive. Amazon restricts comments to people who have actually purchased the product off their website. Clearly, not everyone was happy but a lot of folks liked it.

If you search other auto websites, the results tend to be favorable - that is, the vehicles in question passed the smog inspection after using a bottle. There is also some net discussion that the product won't work on heavily modified vehicles.

According to the product label, if it doesn't work (that is, you don't pass the smog test) you get double your money back! Claiming your refund may be a hassle (at least one 'failed' user comments on this), but that's true with many product warranties.

So yes, there you have it: 25-35% PEA, which is the active ingredient in most fuel system cleaners.

Till just a couple years ago we had actual emission tests done here with a tailpipe probe , now they plug into the ALCL and let the computer tell what is going in with emissions and is a total screw up that is costing a lot of car owners grief and $$$ .

Premium gas and running it hard will do nothing. In fact, you will be wasting money putting premium into it - it can't take advantage of the premium.

What used to work to beat the tailpipe test was to dump a bunch of alcohol in the tank.

Even the cheaper cleaners do, just in very small amounts.

usually if you use G2P, and you pass the smog check, reviews would be good. if you fail, reviews are bad.
It's just a hyped up FI cleaner. I wouldn't pay the money for it when I can use Redline SI-1 and get more bang for my buck.

IMO, emission testing is a huge source of anxiety for most people. Before taking their vehicle in for a test, they will spend crazy money on tune-ups, oil changes and in-tank cleaners, etc. Then bring it in for a test.

When it passes, they give a big sigh of relief and repeat the same process two years down the road.

The vehicle in most cases, would have passed if they just saved their money.
