I have two laptop computers. On computer #1 I have for many years transferred my checking account transactions to Quicken using my bank's website. Computer #2 is new and I have also begun such transfers to Quicken on this computer. Now the transfers do not work on computer #1 but continue to work on computer #2. On computer #1 I get a message that says “Please wait while Windows configures Quicken”, followed by these messages:

and:

The file it references does not exist on either computer. Has anyone encountered this problem or can suggest a solution?

It seems like to me it can only be used on one computer at a time? Unless it's a commercial product. Do you want to use both computers for quicken?

Its looking for the installer. Do you have the original cd? If not search your drive for quicken.msi. Likely you'll need to change the source location to that location as well.

It's looking for the Quicken original installation media (cd, or whatever it was). How did you install it on Computer 2 ?

This error will likely pop if you try to uninstall it as well. Older Windows installs are sometimes nasty like that.

If it gets really nasty you can download the Windows Install/Uninstall troubleshooter program. It's a very old very efficient little critter that does miracles uninstalling old stuff that refuses to budge:

It might be useful with installing as well, but I haven't used it that way.

Appreciate everyone's input. I've been occupied elsewhere and so will contact Quicken and try some suggestions.
