PRO TEC PTL 51334 CUT OPEN

Good morning folks. Off a friends 2014 Kia Soul. Had parts Master 10w30 and this filter for 3,xxx miles. Put a OEM filter and some 10w30 HK All Fleet 10w30 CJ4/SM oil he supplied at $7~ gallon in and on.

Looks like the ADBV has a nasty split in it, don't see that too often, especially at 3,000 miles of use. Thank's for the C&P as always.

I turned 65 yesterday so I realize my "faculties" are not as sharp any more but I swear the nitrile ADBV is torn. The rubber is a lighter color in the tear. It's not nice to mess with old folks

Trust me, I took pic of both sides of it. It has 0 tears/splits. SMH!

I see a line that looks like it could be a split at the 12 O'clock position, but it looks like the seam from the mold.

Good looking filter-Adam, did you happen to see a date code anywhere? That's an interesting filter, has a Purolator sounding part number, but sure looks like a Wix inside (plus no combo valve like most jobber Wix).

Date code is 4/2018 and 00:24 and D2
