Thanx for the C&P.
Why is it that so many filters cut open here have gunk in the can, but none of my own personal truck engine filters don't? Is it from OCI neglect, using the filter for too many OCI's,.....???? 🤷‍♂️
'53, how much does it cost to send oil filters to you? And, can they be shipped USPS if used?

BlueOvalFitter: you can send me filters USPS.
Dont know on first question 🇺🇸🇨🇦🍺👍

Stuff in the can means it's doing its job . Could be those engines are dirty and cleaning up for whatever reason. Could also be that gunk doesn't fall out of the media until the filter gets removed and moved around while hanldling, etc.

I know why! “One filter, one OCI”!!:ROFLMAO: Seriously, if you do short (or even factory) OCIs, you’ll wash most of that crud out with the used oil. Some engines run really clean, too, there was very little carbon in the xB’s 19,700 mile XG3600 when I changed it.

You're welcome, keep up the great work! We appreciate it.

Exactly right ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Capt I have the Purolator Boss you gave me on the lady's 98 Camry right now. Just put it on there four weeks ago. That little car still runs awesome. Just monitoring oil burning... Last run it burned 2 qts and 1/4 in just 4,100 miles... So far this run in just over 1,000 miles it is zero I believe. I have added about 12 ozs but I am quite sure the filter is picking up some of the oil. It has stabilized here in the last week and a half.

Definitely from neglect, recommended by auto manufacturers that profit selling you new cars every few years, and environmentalists that want you to have fuel vehicle problems to brainwash you into buying a golfcart for commuting... you know, the greenies that wants you to destroy multiple vehicles while saving a few quarts of oil

Some owners will never wake up to their foolishness, no many how many problems they cause from themselves. It is the US consumer way of life.

The young 'uns just aren't car guys (or girls) any more! Just give them the newest phone & infotainment system on their ugly white SUV, that's all that sells today! The PG is a decent basic filter, maybe they can teach Puro how to make one...
