Prestone Low tox

I am going to give it a shot, so far the Jeep doesnt care what kind of coolant I throw at it.

EG based antifreeze is quite toxic and attractive to children and pets. It is quite easy to add an embitterent to it, but is seldom done. I looked into this. Only a few states require it and Prestone is careful not to add it if not required. I did not get a good answer from my Wal-Mart about what they stock. Low Tox should be a good wat to go. Unfortunately, no OSH here.

I called the link above, no awnswer. So I sent them an email. I know the dex-cool I used to use in my 4.3 and 5.3 had bitterants.

NAPA can order it in. There's a part number on the web site for it. Given the price I had to pay for Sierra from another NAPA, I'll just buy the Amsoil product.

I use it for the handling disposal aspect. If I spill some or my flush water puddles, I have less worries about the extended impact.

All antifreeze sold in Ca must contain a bitterant. I believe Dex has had it since 1996....I can remember tasting the stuff back then.

I remember when I did my LIM I got a good wiff of it, WOW. Like the bitter test tabs they make you use in biology to see if you have the bitterness gene.
