Premium Guard PG4612 Glue Flakes

All pictures are of the same filter and I didn't touch the glue, the plastic is still over the filter. I sent an email directly to their support address.

I've emailed Premium Guard three times with questions about their oil filters and have never received any replies ... crickets.

I got a reply from Premium Guard support!

"I would like to get this filter sent to our lab. I have logged this as claim number XXXX. Please let me know the address of where this filter is located and I will send over a UPS return label."

Should I send the filter to them?

What's the secret to getting a reply?

This is one filter from the Walmart $9 for 12 deal. I assume you guys wouldn't recommend running this?

I’ve been watching all PG c&p’s here and this seems to be a one off on a $9 case of 12. Never got pics of the rest of the filters in the case.

Here was the final response
"PGI engineering received and evaluated the claim filter. Engineering
performed a dimensional analysis against the manufacturer's
approved specifications and determined that the filter is within
tolerance in all critical dimensions. We have a case improper
application of adhesive. Our plant has created corrective action to
improve process and prevent risk of the glue coming off endcap.
There is a manufacturing defect present.
Engineering Evaluation
This claim is accepted as a manufacturing defect"

This was the only defective filter out of 48 filters I ordered.

This. Inspect all filters before installation no matter the brand.

well that is pretty cool they replied to this situation in such detail and they didn't just blow you off.
