and to think I have been using PEAK as a flush oil after head gasket replacemet-I'll go ahead and say it-so you don't have to
"what an idiot" it was 1.89/qt though

Hey, you can use any oil as a flush! The cheapest oil, even if you got Pennzoil conventional cheaply, is good for a flush!

PEAK is just turning out to be a sleeper oil IMHO! When on sale, it's a really great bargin and a good oil in the ADD PKG.

Now though, I'm seeing PEAK costing a bit more. I think that the folks at PEAK(or the auto parts stores) sucked us in with the low,low price and rebates, and now it's going up in price even when on sale w/filter.

I do like it though just from a "seat of the pants"(SOP) affect and I like what I see on the PQIA site

Just another example of why you can't rely on the KV100 spec' in determining how thick an oil is especially when dealing with other than petroleum based oils.
We've just learned this oil has a HTHSV of 3.5cP, so it's almost a 40wt oil as was discovered in the following thread:

This link is the one that we're in!

When these threads get started over and over they are getting merged. So posts like above showing the newest thread starter of existing threads are going to show up since whoever started up another thread on the same subject did not check if something was started.

The time it takes to TRY to get information in the same spot for others is one thing. To read everything and remove posts like you quoted takes even more that we don't have most of the time.
