Just thought I'd fuel the fire a bit more.
Ah, the better choices dwindle. Actually the labor in assembling a filter is a small fraction of the price. Made in Mexico using American materials by an American owned company may not drain that much money out of the country.
So, You'd rather buy something made in a different country that's American owned than from a foreign owned company providing jobs to Americans? HUH?
The best jobs are in the companies home country. Engineering, design, upper management, marketing, accounting, IT, etc. There will continue to be many well paying American jobs at WIX.
So if you sit behind a desk (college educated), don't worry about those that do the real work- actually produce the product. We'll just keep sending those jobs to other countries where the cost of labor is cheaper, right. I'm not against Wix or any company making stuff in other countries that they can then sell in those countries. But I feel that we should only import products that we cannot make or grow here. Like it or not, manufacturing creates jobs so that people can provide for themselves instead of depending on the government for everything.
