Ok, so elewhere on the forum, someone asked about Power Punch grease, sold at a parts chain... so I decided to look them up.. and found this...

Video Demo

This is the same demo the predated the plastic gear spinner for everyone's "FAVORITE" Oil Stabilizer...

Oh brother. I wonder if you beat it fast enough if it will froth...

Hole in the oil.

Gah, I'm so old that I entirely forgot about that "test" at the fairs.

Wonder how hot the brightstock was for the bottle to be so squishy and the additive so thin.

These demos are kinda cool but really completely worthless. You cant judge a motor oils performance based on one parameter. Whether it is viscosity, film strength, additive, ect. Good oils are a balance of all parameters and not overly optimized for one or two (unless for a specific application). I bet if you did that experiment with bar and chain oil you would see the same thing. This does not however prove that it is better for your application.

I love the demo... nature says you want your oil to cling to the metal... that's the appeal. There's much more to it than just that feature... but it's impressive to john q. public.

I know better than to run it in a motor.. but there's a little bit of a gut feeling that wants to see a motor with windows to see how it would react in an engine.

Cant be much different than Lucas Oil Treatment. That junk sells like hotcakes around here.

Of course the number of beater trucks rises every day...
