How clean was the fluid at 40K miles? I did the Sienna Hybrid at 72K miles and was pleasantly surprised how good it looked.2023 RAV4 Hybrid. 40k miles. Front and rear transaxle with AISIN WS fluid. Won't need to do again for another 3 years.
I'm thankful the V6's have them at least.I never understood Honda transmission plugs. Why so dang tight?
New to my wife and I 2009 Scion xb. 181k miles. We got it cheap and paid cash knowing it needed some love
The old fluid was black, it almost has a purple hue to it
Out: probably factory fluid and filter
In: VRP atf and a wix filter. Lubegard platinum additive
Yes more spill and fills are on the way as this transmission takes 9 quarts and I filled it with a gallon and the additive.
It shifts so much better now
Why? Real question (not sarcasm)2018 Nissan rogue
Out=nissan oem cvt fluid
In=Eneos Eco, which is far and away my favorite cvt fluid.
It really does a good job of quieting down a belt driven cvt. I just swapped out 6 of the 12 Oem qts and took it for a highway cruise and the difference was definitely noticeable. It was hard to get for awhile but I scored 20 qts during prime day for around $5 per qt.Why? Real question (not sarcasm)
2013 Hyundai Elantra 50K total vehicle miles.
Out/In: Valvoline MaxLife ATF. This is the last of three drain and fills in the last 5K miles getting most of the factory fill Hyundai ATF out. Will settle in to a every 30K mile change interval going forward.
I think it shifts smoother but that just may be a placebo effect. Bought the car from a co-worker in January this year. Was low mileage for the year and was his retired mothers car he bought her back in 2013 and lived a short trip to Walmart and back home lifestyle but had regular dealer service records. I think the fluid was original when I bought it and shifted fine but just decided to change it anyways.Notice any difference with the MaxLife?
