Out- unknown (Friend did not have receipts for last change)

In- Toyota Type- IV

270,003 miles.

I know my friend had it changed once or twice during his ownership. Pleasantly surprised with the fluid condition. Will do another drain and fill in the near future.

Did a plug drain on our new-to our family 2009 Honda Pilot. The fluid level was correct and about 3.5 quarts drained out. Not sure how many miles was on it but it was considerably darker than the new Honda DW-1 that went in.

The top plug was horizontal at the top of the transmission and was reachable from standing beside the front drivers side fender. It was over- tightened. It is about 16 inches from the top of the engine bay to the plug. A long 3/8 inch extension on the end of my Dewalt 921 could not shake the plug loose. I changed to two 8 inch long 1/2 inch extensions and was able to get it loose. I did all this prior to tackling the drain plug.

The bottom plug I got loose with a 1/2 inch ratchet crossed to a 3/8 inch extension. The plug had a magnet with a bit of fine metal.

I filled it with 3-1/2 quarts of new Honda DW-1. I’ll probably do another spill and fill later.

I never understood Honda transmission plugs. Why so dang tight?
 
My 23 Civic Type R is currently at a local shop having an Acuity 4-way adjustable shifter installed along with upgraded shift cable bushings. Since they will have to remove the airbox to get to the bushings I'm having them do a drain and fill on the manual transmission fluid although its only been about 15,000 miles since the transmission service. This mechanic is a Amsoil rep so I'm going with the Amsoil Synchromesh Manual Transmission Fluid. I would typically wrench on the car myself but just too busy with life and I'm impatient.
 
Did the drain and fill procedure on 2014 Toyota 4runner. Used fluid still a little translucent but was dark and sort of purple. Used Valvoline Maxlife ATF to add back what was taken out.
 
Did a pan drop, clean out and new filter and refilled with Idemitsu TLS-LV on my 2017 Tacoma TRD-Offroad today. It was still the OEM fluid, it was brown but not really burnt smelling just old, barely anything on the pan magnets. 1-2 and 2-3 upshift under light throttle is significantly smoother than before quite the improvement and it shifted fine as it was. I'll probably do another drain/fill after about 5,000 miles to get the system cleaner.
 
2007 6L80e w/211k miles in our Yukon Denali. Installed rebuilt torque converter as a preventative mx measure in 2018 at 130k miles.
Dropped the pan, changed the filter, ACDelco Dexron6 OUT and back IN.
Looked great.
Sent a sample off for analysis anyway.
