Simple drain and fill technics, checked the fluid level on the dipstick HOT marks after 15 miles run. Total capacity of the AT unit is 7 liters. No filter change possible without removing the tranny from the engine.

If it becomes not smooth again you can always use AC Delco FM MTF to avoid any grinding. Honda has a TSB out to use that fluid in some applications.

Out, 5.5 quarts of ATF+4 and one bottle of Lubegard red with ~25K miles

In, 6 quarts of ATF+4, Four Valvoline, two Supertech.

The extra 0.5 quarts was because of this new addition to the cooler circuit: That is a fram XG16 on the Derale external filter mount

Shifts faster and firmer with 6 new quarts of ATF+4.

I'd also dropped the pan after draining by aftermarket drain plug welded to pan with no interior nut, and cleaned the magnets.

The donut magnet migrated to the Neodymium magnets I place during last pan drop.

That donut magnet is not very strong. I used the stronger magnet from my deleted Magnefine filter on replacement, in addition to the two Neodymium magnets.


I've not yet lined the new external fram ultra XG16 filter with magnets, but the priceless warm and fuzzies are now in full effect.
