Post your latest tire purchase

Vredestein Sprint+ for the Boxster S replacing ~8 year-old Michelin PS2's. I like the Michelins, but I find they start to get slick in the cool and wet after ~6 years or so even at very low mileage. The Michelins were UHP while the Vredestein's are GT, at least according to TireRack. Aside from noise, the Sprint+ are a bit quieter, no practical difference in the back road, roundabout and highway ramp 'tests' :D

That's quite the testament! I'm considering "downgrading" from UHP AS to GT AS tires on my E90 if the performance is adequate for road use. I would better appreciate the improved NVH.

Just a note that the Vredesteins are summer only GT if that matters. I'll admit I struggle to think what meaningful difference could be between a summer only GT and HP or UHP street tires.

I bought winter tires off Craigslist for the Bimmer yesterday.
Hakka's on BMW aluminum rims. Years of life left for this car that is not driven as a commuter.

I feel brave today so here we go. I'm sure to hear that since I didn't get Michelins or some other high end tire that I will crash and burn, take out every vehicle is a 10 mile radius, and be responsible for global destruction.:) I needed a set of tires for our 2003 high mileage Prius. The 10 year old Michelins were severely cracked and hard as a rock. This is strictly a around town car and rarely sees the freeway.
So what inexpensive tire did I get? A fresh set of Sailun Atrezzo SH408. They have been on the car for 9 months now and are performing much better than expected. Did good in the couple lite snow storms we had and do great in the rain. Only bad thing I have to say is I lost almost 2 MPG until I aired them up to 40 psi. The MPGs came back but it did degrade the ride some. So far I'm happy and most importantly the Wife is happy with them.

Taiwan Tire.
Ironman A/T.
Still has that new tire smell.View attachment 214225
My Titan was hard on the right front. I set the toe and had a shop put it up on the rack. Alignment was in spec. Still no change and wearing out the outside edge. Supposedly no camber adjustment. Some years Titan have ecentric bolts for the lower control arm. Mine doesn't but saw a little gap. Loosened the bolts and gave a mighty kick to the bottom of the tire. Popped just a hair out. Tighten everything up and test rode.
Nice. Feels a little more planted. Seemed like it was sensitive to the crown of the road.
The right front that was prematurely wearing got cut by a rock. Plugged it but the plug went in super easy. Ebay to the rescue. $80 to my door. Seems a bit much for a used tire but what isn't high today.
I've had a few of those. They're great tires for the price.

Set of Michelin CrossClimate2 (235/55/19) to replace the OEM Continental CrossContact LX Sport on my wife's 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid. The OEM Continentals were solid for the first 20K miles, but wet traction decreased and harshness increased in the last 9,000 miles.

I had the same experience with the OEM Continentals on a prior 2020 Acura MDX.

Incidentally, one of the OEM Continentals had to be replaced due to road hazard. A local tire shop provided a matching tire, but I don't believe it was Honda OEM spec. That particular tire seemed to wear much less than the other three tires.

Ordered 4x Nokian Entyre 2.0s 195/60r15 got 3x haven’t found another

Rears are bald so replaced those first looking for 1x more tire so I have a complete set.

Cooper Discover AT 275/60r20, Walmart exclusive, made in Texarkana, $179 each, 60,000 tread wear warranty.

Just had 2 Michelin tires put on our Yukon. They are 265/70R 17. Cost was $304 out the door for both installed and balanced. I thought that was a great price.

I thought these were actually a WalMart exclusive but I got them from my local tire shop. 215/55r17 65k rated and made in the USA for $98/each mounted and balanced.

They don’t look like they’d do as good in winter as say the RT45 or Uniroyal Tiger Paw A/S but with the price difference and last few years of mild winters I decided to give them a go.

Bridgestone Weatherpeak's on my 2018 Avalon replacing the OEM Michelin Primacy MXV4's. I was happy with the Michelins. Not sure why on the Toyota forums a lot of people seemed to dislike them. The only reason I changed was superior ratings on the Weatherpeaks, according to Tire rack. Only time will tell. Perhaps in 20-30k I will give them a review.

Michelin Cross Climate 2 were installed on my 2016 Volvo V60. Per car manual - installed 235/45/18. Original per car manual was 235/40/18. Choice of two tires and because I am trying my best to get a little more sidewall and can't change wheel size (large discs) the 45 was max. The tread does look like it will eat you but I like the ride and the feel.
