Post your latest small engine oil change

Changed my two Craftsman riders yesterday. A Briggs 19.5 hp twin flat head and a 24 hp OHV. Each got Prime Guard SAE30 and the 24hp got a new Fram Ultra 3614 filter I got dirt cheap when Meijers was closing them out. Time got away from me as my last change was in June of 2023.

Honda brush cutter, HHT35SUKAT Amsoil small engine oil 10w-30. Up next Honda GX160 pressure washer same oil. Then older briggs 19HP pro single cylinder Intek after the Honda with the same oil.

I just did the valve lash adjust on the brush cutter. I probably have 160 hrs on it. The cam lobes looked brand new. I use it hard....

If this is true, I've been doing it wrong for years. Wouldn't it be more repeatable and predictable to fully insert (close) the dipstick to get a reading vs just "push it back in"?
First photo is just cleaned off and pushed in after cleaning and is the correct level. The second photo shows screwing it down. It is incorrect and will read high meaning you don’t have enough oil since if you had this level at the top of the cross hatch and then you tried it with just putting the dipstick in after cleaning without screwing it in, the level would be low. Not enough to kill the mower but with slash lubrication like on a Honda GCV, it’s better to be at the correct level.
