LOL Texican! We have the same mower! I got mine at Lowes 5 years ago. Anyway, she got Napa 5w30 Full Synthetic yesterday. Old oil was shell 10w30. We also like Kia vehicles and I am from San Antonio!

Don't change the oil in small motors anymore.
B and s 550e on a craftsman push: homelite straight 30w in an 18 oz bottle. Oddly enough the air filter is soaked with ace hardware 5w30. New plug gapped to 30.
Changed the oil with Rural King full synthetic 10w30, oil filter, sharpened the blades, greased all fittings with Mystic #6 red grease on my Mother-in-law's John Deere x475 garden tractor. Changed the oil and sharpened the blades on my 7 year old Poulan and 23 year old Craftsman II push mowers. Also used Rural King synthetic 10w30 in them.

Greased up all the pivots and linkage with white lithium spray grease. Greased the chains and the sliding mechanism on the sprocket shaft with Duralith #1. Ensured it had stabil in it and ran the carb dry.
Then fired up the push and riding mower.
