I unintentionally won 6 qts. of the Kendall oil last summer as a vendor at a car show. Since I haven't run a 10w30 in a vehicle since the early 90's, I figure I'd put it to use in the mower.

gaskets and seals
ran in for 45minutes, changed oil, ran in two 45 minute runs, changed oil out, returned to customer. (5w-20 mobil super first and second fill).
customer ran engine five hours and changed oil out with m1 0w-30
and is doing 75 hr oci's since it operates on lpg

This Chinese-made motor had a loud, metallic, scraping noise from day one. Oil changes at 2 hours/12 hours/12 hours had no effect. After filling with leftover QSUD it purred like a kitten.

One uses so little oil in most 4 cycle OPE, it makes sense to me to use a top oil made for small 4 cycle engines. What does it cost me extra a year, under $5?
