Post your latest propane price

This winter averaged $2.30 US dollars a gallon. Natural gas is $1.52 per CCF. Around 90,000 btu vs 100,000 btu for those two measurements. After a decade of Propane I'm going back to Natural Gas. No more worrying about deliveries etc. Also, I'm installing a wood stove this year so things should get toasty.

I guess I got ripped off bigly, but I have no choice where I can purchase.

Propane pricing is heavily dependent on volume. $5 per gallon is not uncommon for “cooking customers”, especially if you aren’t paying a separate tank rental fee.
I had a larger 200lb tank installed so we could make it through winter without needing a fill. We made one year and only used 30 gal. running the kitchen Stove and oven - and my wife cooks all the time. True we have had no rental fee or install fee charges, so I guess I am actually doing O.K. - even for a penny-pinching Scot!

Aside: My killer bill is cable - it's approaching $300/month with no premium movie channels! I keep telling the wife we have to start streaming and ditch the VoIP home phone - but we do like local news channels sometimes. Comcast is allowing basic packages again - might go that route instead of stripping down to 250mbs internet + gateway modem only. I got a firestick in a draaer somewhere. The TV didnt iek it , but the powersupply may have been getting no juice from the cablebox USB port and was instead drawing power from the 5v leg on the HDMI port so the I/o board on our Samsung 39" was current limited and pulled down the supply to the other HDMI inputs.

Internet + basic cable might be a good option if they don’t hammer you with equipment fees.

I use an over the air antenna for local channels, and streaming for extra content. Check out the website below to see what you can get for OTA channels.
