Continuing the theme of OEM lower ball joints did you know they are still available for a 9th Gen Toyota Corolla (2005-08.)
They will be installed in conjunction with re-booting (unfortunately w/ exact-fit Mevotech's since OE is discontinued) the original CV axles on a cleaner 08 Corolla I'm servicing. The other buss-up 08 rolla got trakmotive cv shafts and moogs lowers.
The climate controls in my Eunos got all wonky and nonfunctional. Pulled the dash apart assuming the doors in the box got jammed or the cables were messed up. Turns out the control head itself broke in two places where the cables anchored. Rolled the dice that a LHD one would work and I was correct. Only the fresh air control is different but the controls are set up for either way. I reinforced the anchor points with epoxy on the replacement, lubed the cables and will slap it in shortly.
Front Wheel Hub Assemblies, Front CV Axles, oil seals, differential fluid, along with some tools. All the parts are from Subaru as I generally don't go aftermarket with these particular parts. This is for my 2014 Forester. I'll be taking care of it this weekend.
4 new Hitachi coil packs for my 18 rogue and a new oem alternator, all from amazon warehouse which was brand new in sealed boxes. Nothing that needs replaced but getting up there in miles and a slight supercharger sound coming from the alternator pulley getting off the HWY. Not a bad haul for $220
Turbo drain tube gaskets arrived today for my S60. There's a minor seep where the tube enters the crankcase, so I wanted to take care of it before putting the car on the market. Customers hate leaks!
Luckily the gaskets cost a whopping $11 for the set, half of which was shipping
Think I got my shipping cost justified. Fuel filters for the tractor, new muffler for the Dakota going to sweep it out in front of the tire and wipers for everything. Of yeah a tether for the gas cap for the Dakota, I always knock it off and rolls under the truck, lots of
bad words.
Bought these bolts on Thursday night for mom’s rear left brake caliper. O’Reilly to the rescue on that. I changed the rear brake pads and machined the rotors on Wednesday forgot to take a picture of the brake pads but we got the Carquest Platinum. I don’t get Toyota pads because they don’t come with shims or hardware and really aren’t worth the premium. Parts store brake pads are just fine and include everything.
It seems the last purchase by them was March of '21, so maybe the stuff today is fake water. I find that extremely unlikely, but I can't say conclusively.
A B-Pillar Seat Belt Gate.....a promotion from a dealership
Pair of door lock bezels....privately made on a printer
Lower Windshield Molding Corners....aftermarket part
<$50 total. Genuine Volvo parts would've been > triple.
