For the front lighting on the LS. Uses the high beams as DRL's. They're on all the time except for when the mains (HID) are on. No way to shut them off. I don't think they run hot enough at that low voltage. Hence, the rusty colored deposits on the inside of the capsule.

The yellows are for the fog lamps.

Mahle OX149D - the OE filter for Volvo applications. The older "Mahle Original" + "micro-star" boxed filters (left) always looked the same as the genuine Volvo filters, but my latest batch came in the same "aftermarket" box as my other Mahle filters. The filter media has changed from brown to tan, also the same as my other "aftermarket" Mahle filters. The new filter is still made in Austria and has a April 2023 production code. The "micro-star" boxed filter has no production code but as purchased early 2024.

No issues, still a quality filter. Just thought it was interesting and curious if filter efficiency changed. Also curious if the Volvo boxed filters have also changed.

Isuzu Ascender/Chevy Trailblazer P0455 repair. Crack in fuel filler port on tank causing evap issues, noticeable fuel smell, and wetness on tank mean needed tank repair.

With 120,000mi on the truck I also recommended a fuel pump, filter, evap vent solenoid and misc parts for the job when the tank gets dropped to do the repair.

Drove out to the Lexus dealer to pick up more body clips (special order) for the LS430.

They're for the cowl weatherstrip that also runs down the sides of the fenders.

I didn't want to try and remove the existing clip from the radiator support without have a few replacements in case the clip broke during removal. It looks like Toyota redesigned the head of the clip.

Forty-five minute round trip took over 90 minutes. Cal-Trans decided it would be a good day to sweep the lanes, westbound I-580 up and over Altamont Pass. And I purposely left later in the morning to let the AM commute traffic dissipate.

Installed a new battery for the 95 GMC from Sams Club. Replaced an AGM that was 7 years old that couldn`t take 10 degrees any longer with a flooded , no particular reason for the less expensive choice.

Window regulator guide bar for an '04 Ranger. OEM only -- I'm surprised Dorman hasn't previously tried to step in here.

These wear and then the window cocks when rolling up. This is not sold as part of the window regulator/motor assy.

I imagine it was headaches like this that encouraged the all-inclusive regulators with motor, cables and everything else.
