This guy describes exactly what the DLC3 connector in the Highlander does when I try to plug into it. The car doesn't sit long enough to have any self-discharge issues.

Not to take this is thread into another direction, but look what I found tucked into the kick panel of the Highlander. Is this really a tracking device?

What made me look closer was the DLC connector housing in the video is black as is mine. When I was looking for a replacement housing, the OEM Toyota part is white.

There's a model number attached to the device. Internet search reveals that this is a smart phone interface. It does have vehicle tracking but some of the documentation regarding features is inconsistent.

Clearance oil from O'Reilly.

The individual qts dropped from the clearance label price of $3.57 to $2.47.

The jugs were $11.87 despite the clearance stickers of $17.07.

These are mostly 🦄 at this point so I wouldn't jump off the couch and rush to your store just for this.

And yeah, that's rain water droplets

Near complete replacement of the AC on the Silverado. One front lug nut busted on the project Ram and ordered a few spares, and a few fuel filters to have on hand.

Did '03 retain the 15/16" hex? That's what our '02 runs

Last time I ordered PTC for a '99 Ram 1500 I got Dorman studs. I don't care, just think it's funny they try to make a distinction

Just ordered a OE radiator caps for both cars. Still on originals !!!! And a OE serp belt for the Gen Coupe.

All from eBay.....

Decent sales the past few days, and pulled the trigger on steering parts for my project Ram.

Borgeson 6 bolt steering box from Summit w/ coupon.
Borgeson steering shaft was over $100 off at walmart of all places. It came in fast and was a legitimate part.
Cardone ZF power steering pump, dorman pully. Supposedly an upgrade over the snap ring version.

Overall I think I saved a few hundred bucks.

I replaced the leaking hydroboost and ordered some new OEM brake pads for my dad’s high hour Duramax. I flushed the PS fluid after I replaced the HB. I opted to get a new Bosch hydroboost as it was about $180 cheaper than a new GM unit, the Bosch unit looks identical to the OEM HB that I removed. I also ordered axle seals and the axle nut socket from Amazon to do the rear brakes, on these dually trucks you have to pull the axles to replace the rear rotors, I always put new seals while I have it all apart. I’m going to get Carquest rotors for this truck again locally, a friend of mine with a shop gets a pretty good discount on them and lets me have them at cost.

'14 Cruze 1.4l turbo

MAP, MAF, O2 sensors, boost sensor, valve cover, coil pack and v3.4 Cruze Kit and Valvoline ATF

Kid soon to leave for college in St. Louis...8 hr drive. So figured I'd go ahead and hedge my bets. Dad can't jump on truck and drive 8 hrs to replace MAF sensor.

Ram 1500 5.7 hemi

10 qts Valvoline EP ATF and PPE Aluminum trans pan

Flushed out the cooling system on the 72 Ambassador wagon and replaced all hoses but one. Wouldn't you know it but that one happened to be 1" inside diameter. Not exactly in my inventory. Also removed thermostat which was incorrect and replaced with a 195. After that compounded and polished hood to a silky smooth shine. Acrylic enamel relatively easy to revive especially when white.

I ordered some inexpensive motor mounts for a ZJ with 318. First, it probably surprises no one but Anchor and Westar are the same. These came in an Anchor box with Westar molded in to the rubber

Secondly, the weld quality is truly embarrassing. They must literally hire 12-yo Chinese kids to weld this as no self-respecting welder would let this out the door (or remain employed). Some porosity/bobbling at the right and the entire left half is WAY too high on the mounting tab. Penetration into the circular body is questionable, and the welds have no body at all:

Picked up what had to be one of the last sets of AC Delco 41-819 plugs left on earth. RA only had 3 left, and everywhere else wanted $10+ per plug IF they were in stock. These are going in my '79, and I really wanted the "best" plugs I could get my hands on although the regular AC Delco 4's would have been fine had I not found these. $16.87 shipped to my door, before:

Submitted and approved within 10 minutes. I'm sure I won't see the check any time soon, but hey... free parts are free parts!

Bought these ACDelco 22" refillable wiper blades along with refills. Made in Japan by NWB.

I remember buying a copycat version on Amazom a while ago that included refills. The ACDelco has a bit a weight to it.
ACDelco top, copycat bottom.

These quarts of 10W30 Pennzoil are down to $1.42/qt at O'Reilly. The gloves (which are not great gloves, but adequate) are $2.37 per box

Don't rush to your store, these clearances have been going awhile and the odds of finding them are slim.

But if you're in-store, be sure to troll the clearance rack.
