Then the thin crowd will say for potentially better MPG you could try 0W-16 .

0w-20, 5w-20, 5w-30, 0w-40 if you have it, rock it. Use up and rotate stash if possible.

And in at least 2021 from the 2 that I service, Hyundai has days and miles and lets you adjust them OR turn it off.

My 2013 Hyundai Elantra has nothing for a OLM or even a mileage maintenance reminder. Have to old school put a oil change sticker in the windshield if I want a reminder.

Noticed the left front CV shaft boot spitting grease all over, so that will go in for a CV shaft replacement soon. Must have occurred with the last 1361 miles because it was not like that when I rotated the tires a couple weeks ago.

Good on you, knock out an early change. I'm the same way. (Miss the spin on metal filter. My '17 has a cartridge that is frankly a little pain... Much rather pay an extra ~$5 for old school)

It’s a good thing to crawl under a car or lay down and use a flashlight every once in a while.

14,498 miles. 2,916 miles and 8 months on interval. Was very surprised to see that the dealer used a Mopar filter. Last vehicle I purchased there they used a Mighty branded one.

Love this truck! Haven't even put 3,000 miles on it since Black Friday but a joy every time I get behind the wheel

Starting in the early 2010s when they went to low tension piston rings and 10000mi oil changes and their first stan at di 4 cylinder turbo.

I have or maintain 7 of these:

4 with the 6 cyl (turbo and non turbo), that don't burn any, maybe a 1/4 qt. over the 5k oci. Use
Mobil1 0w40 FS or VRP.

2 with the t5 (Volvo extended warranty due to oil burning) that I solved with a berrymans soak and 5k changes with extra quality oil (better than A5/b5 spec; a40 mb 229 and/or bmw ll) before they extended the warranty. Using VRP now because why not . The one I own, I started doing 5k changes with a5/b5 oil around 30k and it still wound up burning at about 70k. I think the first few 10k runs with dealer slop got the rings gummed up already. Soak at 70k and at 130k now with 1/2 qt max consumption over 5k.

1 with the 4 cylinder turbo, using Volvo rbs spec oil 0w20. Uses no oil either. Its a later, 2019, vea engine where they solved the oil burning issues.

With the exception of the early 4 cylinder turbo vea engines, there's a way to have them not burn oil. The early vea's need new pistons and rings. No amount of oil changes or oil quality will stop those.
