Post your latest oil change

2015 Mercedes ML250 BlueTec Diesel, 169,988 miles.... 7,000 miles on the outgoing OCI.

Shell Rotella T6 10w30, 7quarts
Premium Guard Extended Life Filter

Why Rotella this time??? Well, I live WAY out in the country and I rarely get to town these days. Just don't like crowds of people and hate traffic. Anyway, I go out to the barn to look through my oil stash, knowing I have 2-3 jugs of Pennzoil Euro L...... but I can't find any of it. I guess I am getting old, as I probably told myself it was time to buy some more 7,000 miles ago.

So... I go to Plan B and I have three choices... SuperTech 15w40, Shell Rotella T4 15w40, Shell Rotella T6 15w40 or Shell Rotella T6 10w30..... The 10w30 got the nod.

First oil change in the life of this car that she isn't getting a Euro Diesel Oil. But she just turned 11 years old, is way, way, way out of warranty and I know T6 is a phenomenal oil. So I am NOT going to worry one bit..... Just drive her as I always do.

9,855 miles, 4,123 miles on OCI, 70% OLM

In: Mopar 5W-30 and Mopar Filter
Out: Valvoline extended protection and Mopar filter

Was at the dealer to have a body alignment adjustment, so had them use one of their complimentary oil changes and tire rotations.
**Requested 5W-30 and service advisor and tech agreed to use it.

2009 Camry
261,800 miles

Unknown on the oil. The OLM went off and my daughter brought it home. Her ex boyfriend did the last oil change, much to my disappointment, as I had put VRP in it.

Out: Unknown oil
Microguard filter
In: Valvoline Max-Life High Mileage 5w-20
Toyota filter
The Maxlife was on sale at Menards for $19.

This used to be my car and it’s sad to see it in a state of disrepair. I owned it until 235,000 miles and it was in nearly mint condition. She is turning 21 and starting to realize the car needs better care than she’s given it. I took care of it until a while ago when a handy boyfriend started taking care of it, though to him it was just a Camry.

It’s been beat up pretty hard in apartment parking lots. I had to pull it from a ditch once with my Jeep as well. It still keeps on ticking, but it bangs and bumps a lot more than it did 3 years ago when it became her car upon high school graduation.

2019 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.4L. 81,300 miles on car, 4,000 mile OCI

Out: Valvoline Restore and Protect 5W-30, OEM Filter.

In: Same Oil (7th R&P fill) but used a MicroGuard Select filter.

I did just buy the Costa filters in another thread, but I forgot! I was going to use one. LOL

Did you have oil consumption or is this just preventive? Good choice in those engines, as you well know.

2017 Hyundai Sonata 2.4L GDI non - turbo 68K miles.
Out: VRP 5W30 Fram Endurance oil filter.
In : VRP 5W30 Microgard oil filter
4K miles / 6 month OCI.
3rd OCI of VRP 5W30
Notes: Engine is well maintained and clean. Now attempting final piston / oil ring hard carbon deposits removal to eliminate oil top offs of close to 1 qrt. during the OCI time period.

My son bought it at 44k and it had slight oil consumption. Maybe half a quart in 4,000 miles. Tried high mileage oils but nothing worked. Went to the R&P and it took a good 4 OCI’s to clear it up. I plan to just continue using it. No oil consumption the last two oil changes.

2015 Lexus GS 350 95k miles
Out: Valvoline Restore and Protect 0w20 Fram Tough Guard filter 5k miles
In: HPL Euro 0w20 Fram Titanium. I figured Euro is more robust.
Like the Restore and Protect but only want to change once per year. Car uses no oil between changes.

2024 CRV Sport Hybrid, 35.9k, recent purchase
