Post your latest oil change

2015 Mercedes ML250 BlueTec Diesel, 169,988 miles.... 7,000 miles on the outgoing OCI.

Shell Rotella T6 10w30, 7quarts
Premium Guard Extended Life Filter

Why Rotella this time??? Well, I live WAY out in the country and I rarely get to town these days. Just don't like crowds of people and hate traffic. Anyway, I go out to the barn to look through my oil stash, knowing I have 2-3 jugs of Pennzoil Euro L...... but I can't find any of it. I guess I am getting old, as I probably told myself it was time to buy some more 7,000 miles ago.

So... I go to Plan B and I have three choices... SuperTech 15w40, Shell Rotella T4 15w40, Shell Rotella T6 15w40 or Shell Rotella T6 10w30..... The 10w30 got the nod.

First oil change in the life of this car that she isn't getting a Euro Diesel Oil. But she just turned 11 years old, is way, way, way out of warranty and I know T6 is a phenomenal oil. So I am NOT going to worry one bit..... Just drive her as I always do.

Unknown on the oil. The OLM went off and my daughter brought it home. Her ex boyfriend did the last oil change, much to my disappointment, as I had put VRP in it.

The Maxlife was on sale at Menards for $19.

This used to be my car and it’s sad to see it in a state of disrepair. I owned it until 235,000 miles and it was in nearly mint condition. She is turning 21 and starting to realize the car needs better care than she’s given it. I took care of it until a while ago when a handy boyfriend started taking care of it, though to him it was just a Camry.

It’s been beat up pretty hard in apartment parking lots. I had to pull it from a ditch once with my Jeep as well. It still keeps on ticking, but it bangs and bumps a lot more than it did 3 years ago when it became her car upon high school graduation.
