2025 Kia Niro hybrid. 10,330 total miles. OCC 5,025 miles. Third oil change, first 2 were at about 1,000 and 5,000 miles. Manual calls for 0W-16, I installed 0W-20 Mobil 1 and Purolator One filter.

My father bought this car back in April as he always was a fan of my brothers 9th gen, except he wanted the V6. So far it has been great, knock on wood. I disabled VCM not too long after we got it. And not even a day after we got it, I poured in some Valvoline Restore and Protect. Im happy to report It did not burn a drop of oil with this last OCI. On the second run of Valvoline Restore and Protect now. So I hope proactively using Valvoline Restore and Protect, and disabling VCM will keep this engine happy and oil consumption free. My father, who is a 68 years old Army vet, enjoys this car and has been using Shell V-Power in it too. Thanks for reading if you made it this far!
