Post your latest oil change

I changed oil today in my 2007 Ford Fusion at 345K (miles). OCI was 10K and had 12 oz of oil loss mostly at the rear main seal. No other oil leaks.

That is right, I am just playing it safe right now for the warranty just in case. knock on wood. Just making sure the oil has the minimum requirements Subaru ask for as per the manual which is 0w20 API SN Plus , SP ILSAC GF-5, GF6-A.
I think the x-Cess gen2 has only in 5w-40 flavor.
Had to travel out of the province for couple of times so this is my first time accumulating such mileage in such short period of time.
And this machine has been put up to test. Had to drive for more than 8hours last March on a snowstorm. Not fun but such an experience.
You would be fine with a different viscosity. The manual just has "recommendations." I think in the future you will wish you'd run either Valvoline Restore and Protect or a good Euro oil.

I read through the warranty online and no, the warranty does not state anything about what oil viscosity nor approvals. It just says you must service at the time or mileage stated in the manual. So there is that and I've been schooled on Subaru. Crow don't taste that bad with a good cup of coffee.

I think it's one of the most common misconceptions on BITOG, so it's ok. That, or that you need to switch grades in the winter to a lower one so the oil "flows faster at startup." Tough to say. At least you're open to learning something new, which many here can't say.

Changing at 3K because daughter's car, and it's almost entirely short trips and lots of idling. Finally decided to step up to 5W30.
