The engine uses a tiny amount of oil in 5,000 miles. Honestly, I can’t see any change in oil level on the dipstick.

What has your oil change interval been with the 0w8?

We helped our 18 year old buy this car new in June 2025. I changed the oil at it 1,000kms and again at 3,000 kms in October ahead of winter. My wife and girls don’t drive many kilometres so they get an oil change every April and October. This Corolla had less than 5,000 kms on this oil change but Saskatchewan winters are brutal.

Out was Mobil 1 0w30 and Fram Ultra.

In went 5L of group 4 Co-op 0w30 with the remainder made up of leftover Mobil from the last change. A new Fram Ultra went on. Likely the last Ultra I will buy.
