229,232 miles. First PG I've used. I had a leftover can of BG EPR and this car appears to have a pretty varnished valvetrain, so it seemed like a good use for it. Ran for about 25 minutes at 1500rpm. Oil didn't look nasty like I thought it might. Will do valve cover gasket on this car before delivery to Iowa, so we'll see how she looks thenView attachment 326479
Nice oil choice for the 2003 Toyota Matrix. It may need 4+ 5,000 mile OCI with Valvoline Restore and Protect to fully clean it up.
For Toyota Matrixs and Corollas of that era, 229,232 miles is considered low mileage (barely broken in).

It probably has another 150,000 miles left of life at least.

Absolutely great cars. Bought it for my wife's dad, needed several things but nothing major. Car runs well, going to drive it 1500 miles to deliver in a couple of weeks!

Wow, didn't think this thread is still going.... Impressive.

All were done last week.

4200 miles on oil- been idling this winter due to near 0 Deg weather in the mornings. Decided it was a great idea to change the oil earlier due to fuel dilution, high percentage of short trips and oil could fall out of range.

seafoam 250 miles before added to oil.

0w20 out, Castrol edge 5w20 "20k mile" in with oem oil filter. Drained oil hot, and added 0w40 oil to push out any old oil lol.

Good to change the oil now early before I get far too busy in the next several weeks!

Ever Accidentally changed the oil in something too soon? Well, that was me today. In my mind, the oil in my generator had 24 hours of runtime from a past outage, plus a year and a half of 12 min test runs

I changed it, and jeez it looked so clean. Thankfully I did not change the filter too

I checked my logs, and as it turns out, this oil is from September 2025 and has just 10 hours on it. Whoops! Oh well, no harm but $15 in oil

5 Quarts of Kirkland 5W-30 out, and 5 back in. Generator is at 250 hours

This was the second to last Purolator on my shelf, and the last I’ll put on the truck. The end caps came off with not too much pressure. There wasn’t a bunch of excess glue on the caps, just apparently too little holding the media down.

This car burns virtually no oil and stays very clean with the factory OCI. Its generally had the same diet of oil but I usually use a factory filter. I am having a problem lately with the oil cap leaking over time. The replaceable O-ring tends to deform overtime, even when torqued correctly. I think this may be a Wix O-ring problem. Time to go back to VW.

2014 F250 49,000 miles, about 3000 miles on this OCI three weeks ago.

I short trip this truck daily. So I keep my OCIs very short and like to play with different stuff. I really like the start-up sounds and smoothness of the Valvoline Restore and Protect. The Amsoil blend was OK - but I should have saved that for a summer oil. I really noticed the difference in start-up clatter with that in the extreme cold we had.

2025 Toyota Sienna

In and Out: 4.5 quarts Pennzoil Platinum 0W-16, 90915-YZZN1 Toyota Filter

4344 miles on the van
3344 on the oil. Toyota will do the next change at 10,000 miles

The oil level rose 1/2” since the 1000 mile change in December and I wanted to get that oil out of it now that we are heading into warmer weather.

Interesting choice with that much fuel dilution
I’m switching to Mobil 1 0W-20 after the first free Toyota change at 10,000. I had already purchased this oil before I knew the van suffered from fuel dilution, as I didn’t see any in the first 1000 miles.

We drove in a blizzard on I-80 with a 50 mph headwind for 4 hours coming back home from Christmas celebrations. I think the fuel dilution happened then.

First time running Valvoline Restore and Protect. IIRC, I maybe added 1 Qt over the course of the OCI (8 or 16 oz at a time).
