Also installed a sandwich plate adapter and an oil temp sensor. Interested in seeing the oil temps with this vehicle. Ford doesn’t include one on most of their engines, so OBD data won’t show it.

I have a guage installed inside the car next to my Scangauge II.

My daughter's car:

2017 Ford Edge 2.0 Ecoboost. 143,484 miles. It is right at 10K miles on this change. Amsoil Signature Series 0w-40 with EA15K51 oil filter just went in. I had been running the Amsoil Signature Series 5w-30. But seeing as they are going by the oil monitor, I decided to bump up in weight to compensate for fuel dilution.

I checked the oil level just before draining the oil. It was a little less than 1/2 qt down. Not bad for 10K miles. Though the oil I'm sure has some fuel residue. I'm going to be pulling the filter apart. Slicing off the filter baseplate. Those EAO oil filters have a very tenacious filter screen backing the media.

Smart moves. Only thing I’d recommend is a different filter. Amsoil filters not up to snuff at the moment.

Also did transmission drain and fill. Refilled with 3.5 quarts Idemitsu type M atf

Carquest Premium, STP XL, and Microgard Select (at O'Reilly's) are the top filters at the moment. Fortunately whichever auto parts store you have, you should be able to get one of those. Recently, the Mobil 1 filter at Walmart has joined their ranks, but it's a little bit more expensive than the others.

The MOBIL 1 is 1 of 3 oil filters that are a choice in the oil bundle at A.A.P.. Have the M1-104A on the '25 Soul that was purchased at Walmart . Looks very similar to the Premium Guard oil filter .

That's good. Their Carquest Premium is basically the same filter. I'd run either.

IN ---- 7QTS extended protection high mileage 5w30. Puralotor boss filter. Lucas fuel treatment.... .

Restore and protect ran great in this engine anxmasd cold starts were quiet and smooth ....... I like the add pack Extended Performance / High Mileage offers and slightly thicker
