Post your latest oil change

2023 Harley Street Glide. Changed all 3 holes today! Bel-Ray out, same Bel-Ray back in. My M8 Harley fluid of choice is Bel-Ray V-Twin Semi-Synthetic 20w-50 oil, Bel-Ray Big Twin 85w-140 Transmission fluid and Bel-Ray V-Twin primary. Same with the old EVO except mineral no blend.

Changed at only 2K miles as someone suggested the Bel-Ray may not be up to the task and thought sending a sample of my mineral mineral / blend to a lab to see whats going on at 2K may show if any oil shearing is happening or if any oil degradation has started being i'm using a blend / Mineral and not a FULL synthetic as so many others now do.

May be a good test as I didn't do a road trip this Summer so most of my 2k miles was in Coastal Carolina HEAVY Summer Beach traffic but I also did a 4 hour day trip most every Sunday it was not raining so some highway but lots of HOT days stuck in traffic so lets see how the Bel-Ray is holding up...

I collected my sample and hope to send it off Monday!

I'm interested in this report. I'm using Bel-Ray Semi-Syn and the bike seems to love it.

Nice WRX! I owned a then new 2014 WRX for a very short period, traded it for a first year Hellcat. I did lots of researching and reading on oil and filters for the WRX being new to Subaru. In 2014 Subaru changed OEM oil filter suppliers in the US to Fram, The by-pass design changed from the old Japan filters so I settled in on using Idemitsu oil and a WIX filter that had the same by-pass spec and design as the Japan filters if I remember.

2018 Chevy Cruze 1.6 diesel
75,178 on car, 5,678 on oil, 24% OLM

Out: Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40 HDEO, Acdelco cartridge filter
In: Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w40 HDEO, Supertech ST10246 cartridge filter.

New oil filter cap and drain plug, I made do last time due to Toyota dealership I bought it from had everything so tight, it got mangled a bit removing it last time. This is my second OCI since I've owned it. Bought it June 1 with 62,xxx miles.

New OEM air filter as well. Next OCI will do the fuel filter too at 20k.

Used up the last of the Mobil Delvac 1 ESP that I had on hand, need to decide if I will continue it or go to something else. Always been a big Valvoline fan in the gas engines, so I may try the Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme 5w-40 next.

I’d like to see the filter cut open. I’d gladly cut and post it for you

2018 VW Atlas. 70,841 odo. 4,850/6 mos oci. No oil consumption.

New LM bottles are solid.

Boxed up this plus other maintenance etc. items and shipped back to FCP Euro. ~18 lb box was ~$15 to ship to CT from VA via UPS. $317 worth of refund credits. So far over the last 7 years, I’ve spent $6,148, gotten $4,091 refunds back so $6,148 of stuff for $2,320 for 6 VW/Audis; $263 return shipping. Not bad.

As soon as I fired up the mighty 3.6L VR6 I could feel the German superiority of the Liquimoly flowing through its passages smoothing out the idle, increasing mpgs, and adding power.

2007 Honda Fit Sport 350,000 miles

OUT: AMSOIL Signature Series 0w30 w/ Fram Titanium; 14,152 mile OCI/10 months, 3 Qts makeup oil added (UOA results pending)

IN: Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w-30 w/ Service Champ HP4622

Plan: Run first Valvoline Restore and Protect interval to 3k miles and change again using this combo; run it up to 5k, rinse/repeat

Goal: Just interested in trying Valvoline Restore and Protect to see if performance/the modest oil consumption rate will improve at all over the next year worth of OCIs (at most), then I’ll be going back to AMSOIL Signature Series; possibly up to a yearly change pending UOA (to be posted next week)

A family member's 2017 Pacifica. It has about 31,000 on vehicle

Out - dealer oil change after 6 months. It succumbed the dreaded oil filter/cooler housing replacement. It wasn't cracked. I made sure of that. The dealer noted that too. Either the O rings or warpage. The new housing from what I can see appears to be metal with a thick enamal/epoxy/painted black coating. It's difficult to determine
