Post your latest oil change

2015 Mazda 5 at 190,000 miles
Out Penz Plat 0w20 : In Kirkland 5w20. Microgard Select filter (prefilled).
Also sucked/filled the small power steering rez with Amsoil SS ATF.
Most things went like a textbook oil change. However, this time, for some reason, the filter was on hard. It took an eyebrow-raising amount of oomph to twist it off. The previous gasket was pre-wetted and the can only spun on until connect and then 1/4 to 1/2 beyond... basically as far as my oily hands can go before slipping grip. This time, I didn't go as far... maybe 1/4 to 1/3 beyond connect. Perhaps it was because the engine was still pretty hot from a drive.

Wife's '24 Mazda CX-90 with 20,500 miles......

Out: HPL Premium PCO 0W-20 w/ OEM filter
In: HPL Premium PCO 0W-20 w/ OEM filter

More than likely last HPL run in her vehicle as I don't see us keeping the care more than another year and a half so probably switching to VRP 5W-30 for the remaining 5K OCIs as I have a huge stash left of that. My TSX will switch to HPL when the VRP routine concludes.

Also try M1 0W20 EP as a comparison to the Valvoline 0W20 EP . While the M1 EP is an extended drain oil (the Valvoline is not) run both for up to a 5K mile OCI and see which you like better ? Both are two of the better off the shelf oils at WM.
I'm not too picky about oil really, though I generally stick with the big names. I'd never really used Valvoline all that much so figured I'd give it a try. Mobil1 tends to be easy to find in the WM's so I'm not against grabbing that or the Valvoline, or Quaker State, etc.
All of my oil purchases are overkill as I don't go any more than 5K between OCI for a number of reasons.
1. I've always done OCI early and I'm old...I fear change.
2. Gives me an excuse to climb underneath and have a look at what is going on.
3. Has worked for me all my life, never had an engine fail me...until Kia entered my life.
4. Oil and filters aren't cost prohibitive, I waste a whole lot more money on garbage I don't need.
5. I don't mind doing it.

2013 Ford Focus. 137,018 mi. 3,018 OCI. Just under a year...my son's car that I'd off at College so low annual mileage and was home so figured why not. He autocrosses it and we were going to swap his summer tires on anyway. This car never had any notable consumption but I have noted that it's starting to consume some oil now.

Out. 4 qts Quaker State syn 5W20 + Supertech 10k mile (white) filter.

In. 4.5 qts Valvoline Resore and Protect 5W20 + Fram Synthetic Endurance filter + Gumout Regain High Mileage.

We'll see of the Valvoline product helps with the uptick in consumption likely related to rings is my guess. Will be in a year. Car has been mine since new and had most of its life on Motorcraft syn blend 5W20 and Motorcraft filters with an average of 5K OCIs.

Don’t forget time limitations if you are a short tripper… 5,000 miles or 6months to 12 months max.

With the Mazda it shouldn't be an issue. My wife drives it more than me. So it will be mostly a "standard use" car.
My VW is a different story. I'm retired and work PT at a local NAPA about a mile from my house twice a week. So I might put 50 miles a week on it.

2003 Honda Civic EX 5-speed manual
186k miles
out: Castrol Euro 5W40, Fram Endurance (3200 miles on each)
in: Valvoline Restore and Protect 5W30, Purolator BOSS

I realize the Castrol could go a lot longer, probably at least 7500 mi, but I've been itching to get VRP in this vehicle. It has a main seal leak that I've been having to add 1/2 qt per 1000 miles for. It may also have dirty piston rings. I am curious if VRP will slow the oil loss at all. I am committing to 4x OC with VRP. Time will tell.

I also checked and cleaned the CAFs and rotated them. I wanted to lube the rubber bushings while it was on the ramps, but ran out of steam. Maybe another weekend.

2018 Ford Edge 3.5 V6 w/51,300 miles

Out: M1 5W-20 Bosch filter 7200 miles, 11 months, 9% on the OLM
In: QS FS 5W-20, Wix filter
Blackstone analysis pending.

PS; felt so good after crawling under the Ford for 20 minutes that I went and inspected my crawl space for another 15 minutes. No leaks from the Ford or the house! :)
