That's why I have 12-13 different end-caps. It may say it's made to fit and it quite doesn't grasp the filter tightly enough.
I'll never buy another one cuz' I have so many already. Nowadays when I change oil filter brand names, I immediately take it home and try the fit with end-caps I have. If I'm not satisfied with the fit, I exchange the filter for something else.
Don't buy the shorty end-caps whenever possible. I always try my deep well end-caps first. They have more grabbing power. Also, I always use a thin fold-style sandwich bag between the end-cap and the filter. Much easier to remove the old filter from the end-cap. Otherwise if you don't, they may appear glued together....lol
