I had oil change on 24 S60 T8 plug in hybrid this week. 9900 miles. I estimate about 3500 were on the gasoline engine.

I reluctantly used the dealer free service because the way this dealer is setup I was able to watch. It went smoothly besides a cringe as I saw them use a full size drill on the screws to "check" the engine air filter.

Interestingly, the Castrol Professional V 0w-20 (Volvo spec version) appeared out of nowhere in a pitcher. I don't know when or where the pitcher was filled, or why they do it that way.

Once I was all checked in, it took about thirty minutes.

2018 cruze premier hatch 1.4T
~75800 miles, roughly 3500 on dealer change, bought almost 3 weeks ago with ~72300
Out: dealer 0w20 oil, acdelco pf64
In: Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w30, acdelco upf64r
plan to run it to 80k(~4200 oci), then every 5k after, put about 1500 miles a week on, 123 miles each way to work 5 days a week plus other driving around town and stuff.

2023 Chevy Equinox 1.5T AWD. 11069 miles total on car. 5300 on this oil and filter in just under 11 months OLM at 11%.

Out: 5 qt Kirkland D1G3 0W20 with Champ 10064XL filter
In: same oil and filter
No analysis done. I did run a bottle of Techron fuel cleaner on the last fill before changing.
I continue to be impressed with the Champ filters, especially the XL for the $$

HAH, just shy of 10K in a couple of weeks past six months.

Out: Amsoil SSO 0W-20, Fram Ultra

In: Amsoil 0W-20 SB, Puro P1

I took a sample of the drain and will send it off for a UOA.

This was an agreement with Pablo, who supplied me a free case of the SB as long as I UOAed both the existing oil on drain and the SB when I drain it.

Bulk oil, filled pitcher at the bulk container. How do you really know it was Castrol Professional V?

Volvo won't pay the three warranty service claims (10k, 20k, and 30k) if it isn't that oil. I don't know how much they'd patrol this. Do they look to make sure they're buying drums of the correct oil often enough? Probably not?
