2023 Toyota Corolla cross hybrid
19500 miles on vehicle 10k on oil so time for a change. No observed consumption or addition of oil level during the OCI.

Out went whatever a dealer used in my Toyota care first change averaged 47 mpg during the oil change.

In went dealers oil, service statement states it was TGMO 0w8 and a Toyota filter.

I am not sweating it.(my vehicle is originally specced for 0w16 but I see the same engine family getting 0w8 in other models so it’s probably just consolidation or a typo.) Will run this oil for a full interval and start my own oil changes and selection next oil change. Now the fun begins! HPL? The reliable ole Mobil1? Go up to a “thick 0w20 for more choices?

‘23 Toyota Sienna XLE Hybrid
27,600 miles / 4,835 miles OCI
Out: Castrol Edge 0W20 / YZZN1 Filter
In: Pennzoil Platinum 0W20 / YZZN1 Filter
Cabin Filter Out: Unknown
Cabin Filter In: Fram CF12157

Changed the oil a little early cause I have some free time day. Pics are a little gloomy cause of the overcast. Got it all wrapped up just before the rain hit. Also it appears the dealership tech left the air box open when I took it in for a rotation and alignment awhile back. Doesn’t seem like anything bad happened. But it’s annoying for sure.

Step #2 of the conversion to HPL complete. 5400 miles on the 5w-30 M1 EP including 400 miles with a dose of EC30. The Fram XG7317 was replaced with a TG7317. OLM is at 50%. The plan is to run the mix with EC30 until either 40% on the OLM or morning temperatures consistently in the twenties. Step #3 will be a full oil change with HPL PPCMO 0w-30 and a Fram Endurance 7317.

My woman’s 2024 Lexus GX550 (luxury), 6800 miles, 6800 OCI, the OEM drain plug fabric washer was stuck on the pan, had to tap it off w a flat head, replaced it w copper. Plan on 6-7k mile OCIs and will switch to 5w30 after factory warranty

Out: factory fill, Toyota oil filter

How long in miles roughly till you hit 40%? On my sold Acura TL --- 10% was 1 thousand miles --- give or take. I like your plan.

Shaming us with clean motors eh?

Shaming us with clean motors eh?
Lol! Well, they will be....That 2.4 has been run on bulk Jiffylube oil (Pennzoil I hope) for it´s first 54k miles. The Gladiator was run for its first 35k on bulk dealer oil for its first 35k. I have no clue what they would use. So the Mobil 1 might have had some cleanup to do, but by now, both should be looking pretty nice inside. And, of course, I keep the engine bays clean. LOL, just an OCD thing with me. Especially the Gladiator. It goes off road and crap gets splashed up in there from time to time.
