Post your latest oil change

2020 Rio Hatchback 1.6 Litre MPI - 11,000(+/-) mi. My brother's car; I changed his oil with Pennzoil Platinum 0W20 & Fram Ultra cartridge filter. Approx. 5,000 mi. on old oil. While the filter is not hard to change, it can be a PITA because the filter is determined to saturate your hand/arm in oil. A pleasant oil change otherwise.(y)

...And now for my car: 2016 Forte 1.8 Litre MPI. 59,XXX mi. - 5,006 mi. on old oil.
OUT: Napa Full Synthetic 5W30 & Napa Gold 1334 filter.
IN: Castrol Edge Euro Car 5W40 A3/B4 API SP & MicroGard MGL 51334 filter (installed - not pictured).
Wait... "Euro Car" oil for a car made in South Korea?? 🇰🇷 That's right - FIGHT ME. 😜🤣
Honestly, I love how simple an oil change is on my car - no fuss. Yes, my car is filthy from a round trip halfway across the country, but the inside of it's Heart is clean.🤗🛢️

Not sure if you're aware that there's a plug at the bottom of the oil filter cartridge to drain oil out before removing the housing so less mess . Removal starts at 1:09 into the video . This also applies to the HYUNDAI Venue ( '20 > '24 ) and Accent ( '20 > '22 for U.S. )

Boring day and nice weather, perfect for an oil change.

That Ultra was not making a good seal (No oil on the garage floor). Hand tight as usual; this is the first time I've seen that during the last 14 years (Have run Ultras exclusively in all my vehicles).
Not a good sign, considering some of the recent posts about it on here. I will call it an accident, or an excuse to move to Endurance, or something else.

Indeed, I did remove the plug & let it drain for a few minutes first but as I loosened the cartridge with my 24 MM socket wrench, residual oil came dripping from the threads & drain hole of the housing, getting my wrench, hand & arm coated with some oil.

It was that moment - that every neighbor within earshot heard the sound of my agitated FURY. 🤣
Just kidding; I didn't get angrily animated. A minor annoyance, but I enjoy changing oil.

Check your local AAP as that delo is $37.99 2.5 gal jug

My friend's ex-Hertz 2015 Altima strippie beater. 187K, 5600 OCI
Kirk 0w20 + 5w30, left filter due to no time. MityVac works well on this car.

Car has been sitting due to key fob(?) starting problems. I guess a shop put a battery in the fob and it's starting. I had replaced it, so who the heck knows. Needs 2 tires and an alignment. And a lotta soap and water. I will buy an Amazon key fob and see what happens.

Two of them:
2005 Sienna, 187K
Out: Kirkland 5W-30 with BG MOA, Toyota D1 filter
In: Shell RGT 5W-30 and HPL EC, ST3614 filter

2025 Camry, 16K
Out: TGMO 0W-8, Toyota N1 filter
In: M1 AFE 0W-16, Fram PH4967(E-core version)

Except for the Camry, the theme for my latest OCIs is to clear the garage.

2017 CRV 1.5T, 100K+, 12K+
Amsoil filter on and off
Amsoil Euro 0W-30 out and in

EDIT: I dumped 5 quarts in. For science! It's maybe, 1/4" over full. Not worried!

Due for coolant swap.
I have been dumping in 5 qts for my 14 CRV and 19 Impreza. Neither call for 5. The CRV calls for 4.2 (but never shows full on the stick until closer to 5) and the Impreza calls for 4.6.

2010 Lexus ES-350
2013 Scion XD
2015 Lexus RX-350

Ordered a 5 gallon box from the website and just put VRP 5W-30 in them all for the fall change with subscription under 100 bux. Previously used Kirkland 0W-20 and 5W-30 which was cheaper at Costco on sale.
Scion 1.8L a noisy commuter car runs noticeably quieter when I throttle it, but was running 0W-20 previously so that may be why.
Lexus was good still good. Both quiet cant tell any difference. Oil filters are all Supertech. I change all every 6 months or more if needed.
