I would not have changed it so soon, but I had some water in one of the cylinders earlier this year (cowl leaked onto EGR) and now it got badly flooded and reeked of gasoline.

I have owned several Panther platform cars and I'm not aware of anything special about the MC ADBVs other than specifying silicone (?), which the Fram Endurance also has (?)

There is A LOT of fuss on the Ford boards about which end of the MC filter the bypass valve is located, but I'm not convinced that it actually matters, and I never even come close to the end of a filter's life expectancy.

For the low mileage of my OCI's, I am more interested in filtering efficiency than in long mileage capacity.

There are a few Ford expert youtubers who SWEAR by the Motorcraft filters and for the price $4 (FL-820s) and that's all I run on my fords and never and issues??

I used MC filters for decades and never had any issues that I was aware of 😀

I switched to get more efficient filtration, based on some of the other 1,627,432 internet experts 😃
- but MC filters got the job done for a long time.

Pics show the easy access to the oil sump and filter (car is on ramps). One panel covers the oil sump and filter, which is easy to remove. All the Hyundai's I've owned have been easy to change the oil.

Changed oil in my 2017 Ford Fusion at my normal 10K OCI with no oil loss in the last 10K run.

Out: M1 5-30

In: M1 5-30 E

Filter: NAPA Gold

I've used the MC FL 910s for years, but with recent cut aways there appears to be excess black glue on the inside of the filter on the metal parts that hold the filter element together. Also the last two oil changes I've noticed a few glue pieces in my oil change pan which was never there before. So, I decided the go with the NAPA Gold for now. My 2007 Fusion takes a cartridge so no problem there.

out goes 6 quarts of Quaker State Full Synthetic 5W-30 Dexos 1 Gen3 and a Champ XL PH44XL oil filter and in will be 5 quarts of older Mobil 1 5W-30 Dexos 1 Gen2 and 1 quart of Quaker State 5W-30 Dexos 1 Gen3 and another Champ XL PH44XL filter...

using up the older single quart Mobil 1 5W-30 Dexos 1 Gen2 oil mentioned as that's what it is but my Denali doesn't require Dexos approved motor oil...

used zero oil and oil is still a light "iced tea" color after almost 5K miles and 8 months...OLM in the single digits on a 2005 GMC Yukon Denali 6.0 V8...
