Replaced a leaking V-Tec solenoid gasket on the Honda today so I went ahead and did an oil change since I was already removing the oil filter for easier access to the bolts. Refilled with Castrol GTX Synthetic and a Honda OEM oil filter.
That’s allot of work/cash beyond an annual water seal … !Part of the back of the house... Redwood deck will be bleached, sanded and restained next week.

For me it was the cheapest 5w30 the farm supply store nearby had!Castrol gtx seems to be more popular than edge on this thread
Stain/sealer for me! It's much easier to clean the pollen/dirt/gunk off sealed wood than natural/porous wood. In fact, I haven't pressure washed the deck since sealing it a few years ago...That’s allot of work/cash beyond an annual water seal … !

I found a faded sticker that says last change was at Valvoline oil change shop 10/25/2018 100,735 miles, 5 W20. So 1092 miles and 6 years on the oil.2007 Hyundai Elantra GLS
