2021 Toyota RAV4
31,250 miles on vehicle
OCI: 2 months, 2,400 miles
Out: Dealer fill: GTMO 0W-16 / OEM filter
In: Castrol EDGE 0W-20 / Fram Titanium FS4967
Short OCI, getting ready for cross-country trip.
~
My first OCI on this vehicle. What a tiny filter. I have room to put one a bit longer on, I want to check and see if something would work.

I believe the Fram 4386 is the same threads. Just larger. If I’m not getting the number confused

hmmm....
My 2019 Santa Fe 2.4 GDI takes 5.1 quarts.
.1 is between 3-4 ounces.
Because ours dilutes a half quart by 1k of the 3k OCI, I keep the new fill at 4-3/4 quarts.

My dipstick oil mark never advances during the last 2k of the 3k OCI.
It only advances higher on the dipstick for the first 1k.
Strange. It's possessed I say and may need an exorcist, instead of a mechanic.
Should it ever levitate, I'll try to take some pics.🙃

Out: Mobil 1 10w30, ACDelco PF52E filter
In: 3Q Quaker State 5w30, 1Q Exxon 10w30, 1Q NAPA 5w30 semi-synthetic, ACDelco PF 52E filter

The old oil only had 1000 miles but it was a year old. I decided since this truck rarely gets driven it would be the place I use up all my odds and ends.

I’m making a 1600 mile round trip in a few weeks and usually dump the FF around 1000 miles but due to my work schedule I won’t be able to do that so went ahead and done it.

Out: Mobil 0w20/ Napa Platinum 47356

He has some slight leaks so I'm hoping the high mileage can help with that. Only time will tell.

Son's 2008 Ford Focus at 231 000 km. Since he's going to university 3 hours away, it got fresh air filter change and new motor mount as well. Still getting about 35-36 mpg for such an old car.

Out: OEM 0W20 synthetic (used for 11 000 km) & Fram TG3614 oil filter left on for 2 OCI (used for 18 000 km)
