I don’t know about the Atlas but, the Tiguan is one of the easiest oil changes that I’ve ever done. There is no shield in the way of the drain plug and the filter is on top of the engine.2022 VW Atlas with engine that uses WIX 10396 cartridge filter. 24k on vehicle
In: M1 ESP 0w30 and another M1 10396 filter. Thank God they put filter up top as one underneath on prior years was very messy to change

So , you will do a 5K mile OCI with a ST synthetic rated for 20K miles ? If the '09 Sonata is a DI engine then you won't be doing long drains in it so you might save a few dollars for the ST synthetic 10,000-mile oil (or whatever the ST standard drain synthetic oil is) .Family member's 2009 Hyundai Sonata 4 cyl 214k miles... Right. It is ST oil after all...It is DI..Only a couple dollars difference ,not enough to fret about.
