Coworkers 2010 Chrysler town and country 3.3 V6 151K on vehicle.

Out: 16,000 miles on whatever was put in it at jiffylube December 2020 and all kinds of top off oil. Lots of sludge came out in the drain pan. I was wondering why the drain plug threaded in so gritty until I dumped the oil out of the pan. Yikes!

In: Shell Rotella T4 15W40 5.5 quarts and a Protec 51515 filled full of MMO.

Engine instantly sounded and ran better. Also did a brake job front and rear and got the old broken dipstick out of the tube.

1984 chevy c10
350
Unknown milage

Out: mobil 0w40 and xg5 (2500 miles)
In: mobil 15w50 and xg5

Dumped early because the 0w40 was the first change I gave the truck. Wanted to get any residual out. Under valve covers is spotless so someone took care of the old 350. Or it's much lower miles than I thought. It was swapped in to replace a 305

2015 f250 5.0
Removed mc500s and Valvoline 5w20 synthetic and a bottle of rislone.

Put in this

Out: 5w-30 M1 EP, probably SN, and Fram XG 7317 filter.

In: 5w-30 M1 EP, API SP. Fram XG 7317 - older stock with wire backed media.

This had been a 500 mile per week commuter vehicle prior to Covid-19. It's gone maybe 7k miles in the last three years. 1200 mile road trip coming up this weekend. We may experiment with E0 fuel to see the impact on range. This vehicle is capable of 560 miles per tank on the open road using E10.
About that Ethanol free experiment...

The car was topped off with E0 prior to the trip, bringing the tank down to E08 or 8% Ethanol. There was no noticeable difference in fuel ecconomy at E08.

Somewhere up the road we topped up with E0 at a convenient station, bringing the Ethanol content in the tank down to about 6.5%. Still no noticeable difference in MPG.

400 Miles later we topped up again with E0, bringing the Ethanol content below 3%. At this point there was a very noticeable increase in MPG. Topped off again at our final destination, reducing Ethanol content to 2.2 %.

The next day we topped up again after travelling another 200 miles, this time with 91 Octane E0. This brought the tank contents down below 1% Ethanol. That final 260 mile leg of the trip registerd 38.5 MPG on the onboard computer vs. 36.5 MPG for the entire 1260 mile road trip.

The impact of running E0 in this Honda appears to be very different than that when running the 2017 Prius V. Nevertheless, my son is now hooked on E0. The fuel tank on this car rusted out while it sat with E10 durring the pandemic.

Not trying to be a **** but like the food threads, I think pics should be mandatory.
At the very least it shows the pertinent details of the oil sale and hopefully the car that's receiving it.

Otherwise it's just 'Stude taking pictures of an apple, pepperoni stick, or piece of bread presented by crusty oil-filled fingernails.
i guess i can take a pic of the dealership bathroom ... lol
