2004 Toyota Camry 2.4 I4 288,367 miles. Changed about 300 early just because it was really dirty and it’s already used a quart so went ahead and done it while I had some free time. We do 3,000 mile oil changes and it uses a quart about every 2,200 miles or so.

Out 5 quarts of Valvoline High Mileage Synthetic Blend MaxLife 5W-30

Off: Fram PH4386

In: 5 quarts of Valvoline High Mileage Synthetic Blend MaxLife 5W-30

On: Fram PH4386

I have about 4 more of the PH4386 filters left that I found on clearance at Walmart. After that I’ll probably use Toyota F1 on it as I can get those cheap with my employee discount. Got the oil through work too but will be buying it at Walmart now mostly as when I request high mileage oil at work they insist on getting it at Auto Plus which only has single quarts of it that run about $7 a quart with our discount. Probably will pick up more when I go to Walmart tonight if they have it cause they have been out of all high mileage and 5W-30 anything.

That's a nice oil, I like Valvoline semi-synthetic oils like MaxLife and DuraBlend.

I've used a lot of Valvoline DuraBlend 10W40 (SN & A3/B4) myself. Back a few years ago, it was the bulk oil used by the local independent garage workshop around here. In Australia semi-synthetic oils are significantly cheaper to buy compared to full synthetic oil, so they get a lot of uptake. Especially the heavier 10W40 with both API and ACEA specs, everything from a Ford to a Toyota to a old Mercedes Benz would run it. When I called up Valvoline years ago, they indicated it was about 30% synthetic. Now days a garage workshop would be required to keep a menagerie of different OEM spec synthetic oils.

I've just started using a local oil Gulf Western, I picked up a semi-synthetic 10W30 (SP & GF-6A) on sale at $10 for a 5L jug. A typical full synthetic when on sale would be around $50 a jug. Big difference.

Out: Mobil Delvac 1300+Redline oil additive, Fleetguard LF16035 filter
In: Shell Rotella T6 5w40, Fram Ultraguard XG39076 filter

Had to really dig into the Post Your Latest Oil Change thread to find the previous oil change on this truck.
July 6, 2019. When I was still hot-shotting trailers. I ran with this oil in it until I retired the truck in October, 2019. Since then it has sat around a lot and has only been driven 200-300 miles. I finally started feeling bad and treated the old girl to an oil change. I should drive her more to keep her exercised.

I've seen it at local gas stations and my local independent Carquest carries it same price as the Fram branded oil.
