Post your latest oil change

Random question for a fellow accent owner. I see you're in Florida so maybe this wont be relevant. Have you noticed the engine being more clattery on colder starts? Going away when the car is put in gear? I've also noticed this on low speed deceleration with the windows open. I suspect something to do with the duel fuel injection system.

I imagine it's normal as both our 2022 Accents exhibit the same behavior.
I can't say i have. But if we get some cold temps (below 40f here), i'll be sure to share. Mine does get chatty on hard acceleration.

Did an oil change on my 2010 VW Passat with 2.0t and DSG transmission.

Oil change mileage - 166852
Miles on Oil - 6695
Oil change date - 11/11/2022
Motor oil used - 1 quart Pennzoil 0w40 4 quarts Pennzoil 5w40
Oil Filter Used - Wix 57561

DSG fluid mileage - 166852
Miles on DSG fluid - 34125
DSG fluid date - 11/11/2022
DSG fluid used - Liquid Moly 8100 DTC Fluid

2011 Corvette GS

3/25/22 30,900 miles:
Out- unknown oil / Omnicraft filter
In- Kirkland 5W-30 / Mobil M1-113A filter

Very faint lifter tick developed around cyl 6, only when oil was hot. Immediately added 6oz of Gumout 510011 to the crank case. Ran 70 miles over the course of a week or so, tick disappeared. This is a recently purchased vehicle which averaged 2,500 miles per year of its life. My hypothesis is the previous owner changed oil based on mileage. Will likely add 6oz prior to the next oil change as well.

11/11/22 32,498 miles:
Out- Kirkland 5W-30 / Mobil M1-113A filter
In- QSFS Euro 5W-40 / ACDelco UPF48R filter

2021 Mazda CX30 turbo. I don't even count the miles between changes. Twice yearly (spring/fall). Sadly, it will be the last oil change with RGT 5w30. This was my last stash. Next time will be M1 from Costco.

Yes I have a couple of those RGT jugs I got on sale at Home Depot for less than $15 they should work just fine in my new non-turbo 2022 CX-5.

Friend's 2013 Toyota Highlander 2.7L
Mileage: 143,260
Interval: 5,599 miles
Out: Amalie Super Pro 5w-20 synthetic blend, Fram CH9972 filter
In: Cam2 Superpro Max 5w-20 synthetic blend, Toyota 04152-YZZA1 filter

Had a problem removing the poor quality drain plug washer which was fused to the oil pan from my last oil change. When I bought a bag of them from Amazon, they were advertised with the correct Toyota part number but actually were sub-standard imitations made in China. The washers had a fabric or plastic coating on each side, and that's what fused to the pan, probably from the heat. They were not genuine OEM washers.

Adam do you know is that car one of the Toyota models that has the dual port and direct injection?
From what I can tell it looks like all the engine options on the 2022 Camry have the D4-S system, although Toyota's website is awful to use, what happened to car sites, they're now all about a bunch of flashy pictures and it's harder than hell to get a proper spec sheet or list of all the options.

That is completely normal. The genuine ones will do the same. Use a flathead screwdriver to “knock” the washer off.

2020 Range Rover HSE P400, the Ingenieum AJ300 engine, OE filter and ~9 quarts of Castrol Professional 0w-20 the JLR spec stuff that is tough to get and doesn't appear to carry any other approvals or specs, not even the typical SL or whatever we are up to. Easiest and cleanest oil change I have ever done; great access for filter, nothing drips and there is even a bib around the fill for drips. That said, oil seems to be the only easy access item on the vehicle....

Wife sticks here head in the garage, snaps a pic, laughs and says '...you think it is perfectly normal, but you do know you are probably the only guy in the State doing his own oil on one of these..." No, I don't think I am normal, but she is probably correct about the State part :D
