2014 Mercedes CLA250 4MATIC New to us for my wife this car replaced the 2016 VW Passat after a accident

OUT - unknown oil from dealership that I purchased it from had a Valvoline sticker upper left window but was unreadable mileage car has just over 100k ...... sent off my very first UOA to the NAPA lab in Ohio excited to get the results and posting up for interpretation by my BITOG friends

IN - STP EURO 5W40 (AOC) Mercedes filter

I had three 5 quart jugs left over from the VW I had been running it 10k in the Passat with STP or MicroGuard filter for the whole life of the car no issues from brand new to being totaled at 120k

I plan on using up the STP on 4k intervals until gone i do plan on doing another UOA on the STP to see how it holds up under the BITOG followers opinions ...then I have a Liqui Moly molygen 0w40 on deck and plan on running it from them on

2004 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L V6
210K miles

3-month OCI.

Out: 2.5 qts Shell Rotella T6 5w-40 + 2.5 qts T6 15w-40 and Carquest 85515HD filter. The idea with mixing the oil was to create like a 10w-40 to create a bit lighter oil for winter use. Its hard to find the 5w-40 around here, but the 15w-40 is much easier.

In: 5 qts Shell Rotella T5 CK-4 15w-40 + STP Ceramic Oil Treatment and Carquest 85515HD filter. I figure that since its going to be staying above 20F from now until this October, the 15w-40 would be just fine. Ive got some T4 and T5 10w-30 that I will put in then. Just not sure which yet.

I'm having a hard time getting myself over the 3 month/3K mile OCI that's been drilled into my head by my father and grandfather since I started driving. I'm going to go for 6 months this time. Wait until around October to change it again.

Had to replace the CV axle on the front passenger side. I drove my 2.0L Escape to work and blotted the oil on it. The blot developed with far less darkness throughout, and the oil was far less dark on the dipstick. I couldn't quite understand why the difference; maybe it left me unsettled on the age/time on the oil enough to just do the D&F. ...Very slightly lower consumption this OCI.

Decided to change when the blot test was showing overall blot darkening, plus an inner halo. I am tending to just change the oil when it gets this way and is clearly dark from a dipstick wipe as it seems to be a simplest approach...Very slightly lower consumption this OCI. Did an alcohol flush before draining--poured in 12oz when the engine was already warmed, turned it on and ran for 30 seconds, turned it off, and drained.
