Just bought a 2018 Ram with the Hemi. Manual calls for 5W-20. How's the 0W-40 working out? Any lifter tick?
Working out great for me! My 2018 got 5w20 from new til about 54k. No lifter tick just trying to prevent it i guess whether it does or not time will tell. Mds seems to be working fine with the 0w40 as well. No check engine lights

I also poured in a bottle of MOS2 for fun. These engines are pretty agricultural so i figured anything i could do to potentially smooth it out was worth trying.

Hey, stick with what works! And with gas prices the way they are I'll be driving it more once the snow melts because I get between 26 and 31 MPG!
Are you using the micron moly mineral oil or the supreme 7000 synthetic blend? Just curious. Schaeffers makes some good stuff.

Speaking of lower engine covers what use do they serve but to making DIY more of a pain where you sit?
They cut down on engine noise and keep the underside of the engine very clean. On my 2002 Subaru Forester the oil pan has no surface rust. So, they do help but can be an inconvenience to remove and install.
