2020 Chevy sonic 1.4t

Out: Factory fill

In: Castrol Edge 5w30
ACDelco OEM cartridge filter

My first time using Castrol Edge. I have no opinion yet since I did the change last night. The change was pretty easy on this car, didn't even jack it up. The most annoying part is that the charge pipe goes right over top of the oil filter housing.

2015 Chevrolet Equinox AWD 3.6L V6

Out: STP Full Synthetic dexos 5W-30, ACDelco PF63E oil filter. 3,000 miles on oil and filter. Changed due to time as opposed to mileage (12mo). OLM still showed 44% remaining, but Onstar report threw a flag for more than 12mo since last oil change.

In: Quaker State Ultimate Durability full synthetic dexos 5W-30, STP Extended Life S10590XL oil filter. Only $36 total for 6qts and the filter at Autozone.

2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
5.3 V8
Out: Mobil 1 15w50 w/Schaeffer's 132, AcDelco PF48E filter
In: Napa synthetic 15w50 w/Schaeffer's 132, Napa Proselect 27060 filter

2016 Hyundai Accent SE 1.6l 144,100 miles, OCI ~3500-4000 miles, had to disconnect the battery for something and it reset the trip counter.

Out: M1EP HM 5w-30, Fram Ultra 9688 and 5oz Seafoam (added ~150 miles before changing).

In: QSUD Euro 5w-40, Fram OCOD 9688. Also finally changed the FACTORY ORIGINAL drain plug crush washer, it had finally cracked and was sleeping a tiny bit, not enough to see any level drop but my oil gets changed ever 4 weeks so not much time to drip out.

Drove about 200 miles after the euro QSUD was added, engine seems to like it just fine and runs very quiet on it, probably the quietest it's ever run. Probably stick with this one except in the dead of winter, then I'll go with M1 0w-40.

Two in one day.

Mother's 2006 Ford Five Hundred:
Out:
Supertech 5w20 Conventional High Mileage

In:
Supertech 5w20 Conventional + 1 quart of Mobil Super 5000 5w20

Motorcraft FL-820S filter

Only 3000 mile OCI, down 3/4 quart at 3000.

Father's 2015 Kia Sportage:
Out:
Valvoline Maxlife 5w30 Synblend

Wix XP filter

5000-7000? OCI. :(

In:
NAPA 5W30 High Mileage Full Synthetic

Not too bad today. The 5w20 poured really thin out of the jug compared to last time, could just be from sitting in the hot car. Engine seems fine, just surprised at how thin it was. Considering bumping to 5w30 but consumption hasn't been bad even with the leaks, so probably won't. Maybe go Valvoline Maxlife next oil change on my mom's car, considering Warren getting bought and the prices going up slightly.

17 Corolla, NAPA 0w20 syn, Extra Guard filter. Dealer has done all changes up to this point, filter not over tightened, drain plug came out with a bit of effort but about what it should be. Great not having it SUPER overtightened. Makes me have positive thoughts about this dealer

2004 Acura TSX
approx 193,300 miles

Out: Harvest King 5W-30 Full Synthetic/Fram Tough Guard

In: Supertech 5W-30 Advanced Full Synthetic/Fram Tough Guard

I only did approx a 3k mile interval this time. With unknown service history (last changed when I bought the car in late 2020), and a need to get under the car anyway... I figured I might as well... This time, I plan to go 1yr/15k miles.

2015 Ford Escape 1.6 ecoboost

Removed 3330 Bosch Distance plus and drained out Magnatec 5w20

Installed MC 910s and filled with more Magnatec 5w20

Did another oil change on this hot rod

removed mc filter and magnatec 5w20

installed same filter and same oil

I also drained the gear oil out of the PTU and refilled with Valvoline 75w140

and drained out the trans, and refilled with Mercon LV

Just put in the Altima in my sig(June 10th 2021), Valvoline NextGen Conventional 5W20, date code 2017. I bought it at PepBoys last Aug. 2020 for a $1/qt.
Drove this past weekend from ROC to State College, PA(250 miles) and the engine is smooth & quiet. Extra quiet in fact. Hmmm!
The NextGen replaced my winter OCI(RGT 0W20) from Nov. 15th 2020/6K miles, ~7 months. It too was nice...NIIIICE!

I'll use this NextGen until Autumn(close to Thanksgiving) and change again to a full synthetic for the winter. It may see 4K miles only 'cause I'll be driving the Firebird and my daughter's Civic(in sig) as well.

Good deal, what oil filter are you pairing it with?
