In: 4 quarts QS Defy 10w40 SN (WM Clearance) 3 quarts Mobil Clean 5000 SM 5w20 (oldest in stash), FL-820s filter
Shook the bottles of MC5000 for about 10 seconds before pouring them in.

Also serviced: replaced serpentine belt, checked air filter (good)

What kind of viscosity do you think this brew will make?

Oil usage less than 1/2 quart in 5179 miles.
In: Royal Purple at 145464 Purolator PureONE one left and they are gone.
C&P later.

A first for the Corolla a Boutique oil if you will. But not at a Boutique prices under $20 on a WM closeout.
I would have never spent $35 and change for it. Now well see if all the rants and raves have a bit of truth to them.
I'll let you know if the Corolla busts into the Bossa Nova in the drive I have the neighbors watching for any questionable activity.
I have a feeling its going to be as always quite on the home front but hey I like a surprise!

The RP with the Synerlec is better but I've used this as well 😁

Well I check out the RP on the dipstick today I don't know if that purple dye oxidizes but when I check it today it was nearly transparent I was thinking it was going to easier to read and it isn't.

I used the Royal Purple HMX in the Craftsman riding lawnmower and it was easier to see on the dipstick then the Amsoil 4 stroke 0w40 I'm currently using.

2013 GMC 1500 5.3L 243,000 on engine, 13,000 kms on oil. In & out; 5w40 Syntec (too cheap to pass up) & Fram Ultra.
Zero consumption between oil changes with all XW40s
Today; 2014 Ford Escape 2L turbo; out T4 15w40 & Fram ultra, in; 15w40 Havoline & Fram Ultra & air filter. The last of my 15w40 CJ-4.

Not engine oil, but today I replaced brake, clutch, and power steering fluid in my '03 Civic EX.
Out: Supertech DOT 3, factory original Honda P/S Fluid
In: Supertech DOT 3, Genuine Honda P/S Fluid

In my research, it seemed that any good DOT 3 fluid will work fine in my Civic, but Genuine Honda P/S is highly recommended over any 3rd party P/S fluid. I'm gradually replacing these fluids by pumping out of reservoir and replacing. This is my 2nd flush of the brake and clutch fluids. Brake fluid got a little darker over a week of driving, clutch fluid stayed about the same. For the P/S, I used 3 bottles, first pumping out reservoir, then filling up, then turning the wheel from lock to lock 10 times. Repeat several times til I left just enough to top off out of the 3rd bottle.

Will continue this cycle over several weeks til all fluids stay clean after a week of driving.
